¬†¬†The building blocks of travertine and brickwork , internal walls are plastered with stucco soberly decorated.
¬†¬†The Stadium of Domitian, such as stage of masonry hitherto known to the outside of Greece and the eastern world , the circus has the form (m 265x106 ) with the longer sides parallel , one of the short sides curved and the other slightly oblique ; differs from the circus to the smaller size and the absence of the plug and the obelisk.
¬†¬†The external facade was made of a double series of arches resting on pillars : the bottom of the Ionic order , the top of the Corinthian order ; on each side opened an input.
¬†¬†There are numerous marble sculptures and statues singles, which were probably located in the upper fornix or housed in niches of the classrooms on the ground floor , found in the immediate vicinity of the stadium.
¬†¬†Decorations Stadium is traditionally reported the so-called Pasquino , found in Piazza Navona at the corner with Via of Plenty and representing the group of Patroclus and Menelaus ; but it is noteworthy that in other excavations carried out at various times along the streets that surrounded on all four sides of the building were found more statues certainly related to the decoration of the monument.
