Real Bodies returns to Rome at Guido Reni District from 30 September 2017! The great expo of human anatomy: over 300 exhibits of whole bodies and real human organs

Show of real human bodies. Our complex, marvelous body is the element that unites us all, regardless of what characterizes us and divides us.

Real Bodies is a fascinating journey through our main, extraordinary wealth: the human body. Below the skin is a set of complex apparatus and organs which, after second, work together to keep us alive and in shape. Real Bodies is a new exhibition never seen before, after the great success with over 280,000 visitors to Milan, arrives in a special edition made for ROMA. There are over 350 of the organs and whole human bodies on display. You can find organs affected by serious illnesses. Very interesting is the section on human reproduction where a great emotional impact is guaranteed. The most educational area is the athletics gallery where 12 full bodies are exposed in anatomical sports positions and immortalized in technical gestures of sports such as soccer, basketball, long jump, dance and fencing to enhance our muscular and skeletal complex.
SCHELETRIC SYSTEM
Contrary to popular beliefs, bones are dynamic, strong, light and flexible organs. The bone marrow produces two million red blood cells every second. The bones regenerate when they are broken. They are harder than steel and lighter than aluminum...

   Event-Info:

The skeleton has a lot to tell: from our feeding to the kind of wounds we have reported during our life.

MUSCULAR SYSTEM
Skeletal muscles cover most of the body and are largely responsible for our physical fitness, movement and posture. They provide protection to internal organs and play an important role in maintaining body temperature at around 37º C.

NERVOUS SYSTEM
The main function of the peripheral nervous system (SNP, the nerves of the body) is to connect the central nervous system (SNC, brain and spinal cord) to the limbs and organs by sending sensor and motor nerves information. Self-peripheral nerves control involuntary or semi-involuntary functions, including heart rate, blood pressure, and breathing.

CARDIOVASCULAR SYSTEM
The blood vessels are assembled in a closed tubular circuit through which they circulate between 5 and 6 liters of blood Less Infos>> . The heart, a powerful muscle, represents the engine of this vast network of 145,000 km of arteries, veins and capillaries to continuously carry nutrients and oxygen throughout the body.

RESPIRATORY APPLIANCE
Breathing is the way we bring vital oxygen to our body. Oxygen allows cells to use the energy stored there to keep them alive. Now, inspire and exhale. You have just taken control of breathing. Think about how hard it would be to remember to do it 12 times per minute for the rest of your life. Fortunately, breathing is usually an automatic process.

DANGEROUS APPLIANCE
When food passes through the digestive tract, it slides into usable nutrients that are absorbed by the bloodstream and transported to each cell of the body. Within these, the energy stored in the nutrients is used as a fuel to run the body's organs. During our lifetime we eat over 27 tons of food, the weight of six elephants.

REPRODUCTIVE APPARATUS - FETAL DEVELOPMENT
The organs of female reproduction (ovaries, fallopian tubes, uterus and vagina) are well protected within the pelvic cavity. Instead, the male organs (penis, testis) lie outside the body. When the ovum is fertilized by the sperm, the first cell of a new individual is formed. This cell splits repeatedly and differs in the various tissues that make up the human being, placing it in the uterus, where it develops in 40 weeks.

URINE APPLIANCE
The kidneys, key organs of the urinary system, filter almost 1.2 liters of blood per minute, remove waste products and during this process create urine that is stored in the bladder.
